TDLR APPROVED COSMETOLOGY CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSESThe Cosmetology Continuing Education rules will affect those licenses expiring on or after September 1, 2006. Operator licensees must complete 12 hours of continuing education, 4 of which must be in sanitation. Cosmetology Instructors must complete 12 hours of continuing education, 4 of which must be in sanitation and 2 in Teaching Methods. Specialty licensees must complete 8 hours of continuing education, 4 of which must be in sanitation. This is in accordance with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation 83.101. www.license.state.tx.us.

Health and Safety Standards Ch 83.114 Located in the Cosmetology Administrative Rule Books 2006.
Public Safety is critical in cosmethology and helps build customer confidence in the industry as a whole. Although all cosmetology programs emphasiz "sanitation", this class is basic review of health and safety standards mandated and defined by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Professional Development focusing on ideas and strategies teachers can use to help each other design and Lead thought-provking, interactive lectures to engage the learner within the context of Pivot Point's Teacher Development Program.
